Apply Pan Card

There are two primary categories for PAN applications:

  • New PAN Card: For individuals who have never applied for a PAN card before.
  • Duplicate PAN Card: In case of loss or damage of the original PAN card.

 Steps to Pan Card Apply :

a. Online Application:

  1. Visit the official NSDL or UTIITSL website for processing a pan card apply.
  2. Choose the appropriate form (Form 49A for individuals, Form 49AA for foreign nationals).
  3. Fill in the required details such as personal information, contact details, and source of income.
  4. Upload the necessary documents, including identity proof, address proof, and photographs.
  5. Pay the application fee online through credit/debit cards, net banking, or demand draft.

b. Offline Application:

  1. Obtain Form 49A or 49AA from designated PAN centers, NSDL, or UTIITSL offices.
  2. Fill in the form carefully and affix recent passport-sized photographs.
  3. Attach photocopies of supporting documents – proof of identity, address, and date of birth.
  4. Submit the form, photographs, and documents at the nearest PAN center or NSDL/UTIITSL office.
  5. Pay the prescribed fee through demand draft or in cash.

c. Tracking PAN Application: After submission, you can track the status of your PAN application online. The acknowledgment number provided during the application process will help you monitor the progress until the PAN card is dispatched.

d. Receiving PAN Card: Once processed, the PAN card will be dispatched to the address mentioned in the application form. It usually takes 15-20 business days for the card to reach the applicant.
